SCIENCE!

I never did very well in science classes, but not because I don't like science, I think it's just all the math involved with physics and chemistry and moles and avocado numbers and what-not. I had some really lousy science teachers in middle school, and a couple decent ones after that. One of them had us write about a science news article each week as our assignment, and he didn't mind that I went and found ridiculous ones (and attached a relevant The Far Side comics to them), so that was pretty cool. I think I enjoy science news way more than actually doing science. I'll leave that to my friends who want to become seismologists or flavor chemists or mixologists or what have you. I do respect the scientific method as an objective and reliable method for learning about reality. Otherwise we'd still be in the dark ages spreading the plague and being scared of others for being different. Science has allowed us to pull outselves up out of ignorance and into enlightment (well, relatively more enlightened anyway). Without science, we wouldn't have shampoo and conditioner in one bottle. Yay SCIENCE!!
