Twilight Zone

While I do love Star Wars and Star Trek and other science fiction films, books, radio, etc.. those are all various forms of fantasy. Some, like Trek, are highly scientific, but still a utopian fantasy. Star Wars is all high fantasy, with space wizards and witches. But Twilight Zone is nobody's fantasy, it's the sort of dark reality of a parallel world not too dissimilar from our own. A what if tale told, not by moralists, but fearful realists. Nothing that happens will be pleasant or heartwarming, but it will tickle and excite the neurons in your brain in the way that only the very *best* science fiction is capable of doing. While I may discuss and laud and play in the Star Wars or Trek realms more, when you get down to the bone where the tendons meet, Twilight Zone has been the most impactful to my disturbed mind, and may actually just be my favorite of all.
